Our friends’ cat Lola came to stay with us for a week at the start of the month. Her humans were away on holiday, and because she’s seventeen, needs daily medication, and loves company, they were hesitant to put her into a cattery. Being the cat obsessed person I am, I offered to look after her. She’s a sweet natured cat. It took her a day or two to settle and it was heartbreaking watching her sit by the front door after our friends left, waiting for them to return, but she soon settled into a rhythm with us and by the end of the week was strutting around the flat like she owned the place!
