A Backlit Armpit and a Fallen Leaf

Gustave is fascinated by my plants. I kitten proofed them before he moved in, but he has still managed to get his paws on some of the plants that live on cabinets or low shelves. To give him a bit of fun, I let him play with a fallen leaf from my Pilea. These were taken with my camera set on a tripod, manual focus for where I thought he was going to be, one hand holding the leaf and the other hovering over the shutter release. It’s tricky to take action shots of him as he’s lightning fast and prefers interactive play, but we’re finding our ways!
