A Sunday in the Second Spring

For all the carefully composed photos I make and share where I tidy up and am careful about what remains in frame, it’s the honest everyday scenes that I’m drawn to the most. Here’s a snapshot of a regular Sunday in the second spring of the pandemic; tulips, at their peak; a discarded face mask cast aside after my daily walk; a box of lateral flow tests as Ed has to take a self-administered test every Wednesday and Sunday since the students returned to school a month ago; a pile of crap removed from the glove compartment of our car when we cleaned it out a few days ago; batteries, removed from my film camera, sat out on the table as a reminder to buy replacements next time I go to the supermarket; post, read but not fully dealt with.
