My first home grown bouquet. Ranunculus and cerinthe, all grown on my allotment. I made the bouquet for Mum, and picked them the night before. The cerinthe wilted, but I read that if you sear the ends in boiling water for 20 to 30 seconds, then place them in cold water, wrapped in newspaper or greaseproof paper to keep them upright, and set them somewhere cool, that they’ll perk back up. I tried it, and it worked. I hand tied the bouquet so that I could just pop it in water when I arrived and it wouldn’t need rearranging.
