Our ‘new’ greenhouse, before we pulled off the bindweed and walked it over to our plot. I asked our allotment secretary if she knew of an unwanted greenhouse somewhere on site, and she came back to me with this one. It needs new panes, and we’ll probably put polycarbonate panels in as they’re lighter, cheaper, and stronger than glass for an allotment.
We pulled up one of the bed frames to make space for the greenhouse, and Ed’s dad is constructing us a new plinth out of recycled wood for the greenhouse to sit on. Until then, we’ve rested it on the frame of the bed we moved.
